Message Just changed my intake gears cause of an oil leak. I wanted to make sure nothings leaking anymore. I know i can put back everything without the timing belt covers and then start it and see if its leaking and then put them back after, but that would take a lot of time.

Is it possible to start the car without putting everything completely back together, i remember reading once if that if you start your car without the radiator its not a big problem if you do it for a very short period of time. Is this true, is there an easier way and if so what are the main things i should have assembled before i start my car, or should i stay safe and put it all back together without the covers and then remove everything and put them back?

Thanks in advance
